[via press release from Oxygen]

READY, AIM & FIRE! OXYGEN CO-PRODUCES BRITAINS NEWEST DARK COMEDY SUBURBAN SHOOTOUT

Premiering in 2006, the New British Series Will Be Companion Show to the Second Season of the Critically Acclaimed Series Nighty Night

------

LOS ANGELES, July 14, 2005 Move over, ladies of Wisteria Lane! Oxygen is importing even more twisted housewives from across the pond from Little Stempington, England when it premieres its co-commissioned series Suburban Shootout with UK network Five Broadcasting and specialist cable channel Paramount Comedy. Produced by leading British production company Feelgood Fiction, the new dark comedy follows the topsy-turvy world of a suburban housewife turf war. Suburban Shootout will premiere in 2006 along with the second season of Oxygens award-winning series Nighty Night.

In Suburban Shootout, the routine world of Suburbia, mid-morning exercise classes and daily school runs, mask the secret super-sexed, super violent world where women dont kill time they kill each other. The series chronicles the malicious and sordid battle between two power hungry housewives, Camilla Diamond and Barbara Du Prez.

Sexy, ruthless, Camilla Diamond is the clandestine leader of a team of women who, beneath their appliqu knitwear, are highly armed and combat-ready. Theyve got every shop in town in a protection racket, the local aromatherapy factory producing illegal hormones, and they rule over the swinging, surreal world of Little Stempington. Her former best friend, Barbara, presides over her own highly trained posse and is determined to stop Camilla and her evil ways before they take over the town completely. Into this epic struggle, walk innocent newcomers Joyce Hazeldine and her husband Jeremy, who act as unwilling pawns in the power struggle between the two matriarchs.

Oxygens broadcast of Suburban Shootout in 2006 marks the shows U.S. premiere. It also denotes the first project to emerge from Five and Paramounts new comedy initiative, created to develop and produce a raft of daring comedy for the respective networks.

The half-hour comedy series is scheduled for eight episodes following Nighty Night, which sees the return of its feverishly untamed lead character Jill Tyrrell to U.S. screens. Oxygen, BBC Worldwide Americas and Baby Cow Productions will co-produce the second season focusing more on Jills unhealthy obsession with finding a new man and even more bizarre twists and turns than season one.

"Combining Nighty Night and Suburban Shootout into one night of wild, unadulterated comedy will be a thrill-ride for our viewers," says Debby Beece, President of Programming & On-Air, Oxygen. "The success of Nighty Night last season proved that women seek provocative programming that's not afraid to take some chances. We hope our viewers enjoy Oxygen's one-two punch of TV's funniest dark comedies."

The co-commission of Suburban Shootout is a brilliant collaboration between three adventurous broadcasters. Its pairing with Nighty Night on Oxygen promises a knock-out double bill, says Graham Smith, Commissioning Editor, Comedy - Five TV and Paramount Comedy. We are very excited about the enormous potential in our new partnership with Oxygen and look forward to its success.

Feelgood Fiction, the production company for Suburban Shootout, co-produced Double Bill, a TV comedy starring Peter Gallagher and Dervla Kirwan, with Oxygen, Working Title TV for Universal Studios and ITV/SKY TV in 2002. Feelgood Fiction is currently developing film and TV projects with some of UKs most exciting screenwriters. Development partners include Miramax, The Film Council Grenada Films and The Irish Film Board.
