SHOWTIME'S MULTIPLE-EMMY NOMINATED SERIES "HUFF(TM)" SIGNS OSCAR WINNER ANJELICA HUSTON FOR THREE SOPHOMORE SEASON EPISODES

LOS ANGELES, CA August 2, 2005 Showtime/Sony Pictures Television's acclaimed dramatic series HUFF, currently shooting its second season, will introduce Academy Award-winner Anjelica Huston for three episodes as Dr. Lena Marlova, an iconoclastic but brilliant psychiatrist known for her alternative therapies who is the head of the psychiatric unit of a Los Angeles city hospital. Once famous for her books based on her psychiatric work, she surprisingly ends up functioning as an ad hoc therapist and confidante to Huff (Hank Azaria).

Thirteen new hour-long episodes of the Emmy-nominated series are in production, which stars Hank Azaria, Paget Brewster, Anton Yelchin, Andy Comeau with Blythe Danner and Oliver Platt.

"Anjelica Huston is a brilliant actor and there is no one more versatile or arresting on screen," said Robert Greenblatt, President of Entertainment. "I speak for Hank Azaria and the entire "Huff" ensemble when I say we are honored that she chose to make her episodic television debut with us. I think this speaks to the high caliber work being done on this show by executive producers Bob Lowry and Scott Winant."

Also an accomplished director, Huston's appearance on HUFF marks a reunion of sorts for her at Showtime. In 1996, she directed the Showtime original picture "Bastard Out Of Carolina," the film version of Dorothy Allison's best-selling novel which tells the story of a young girl's abusive childhood in South Carolina in the 1950s.

Huston won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in "Prizzi's Honor," which was directed by her father, the legendary John Huston. She has received two other Academy Award nominations for her roles in "Enemies: A Love Story," and "The Grifters." Most recently, Huston appeared in the Wes Anderson-directed films, "The Royal Tenenbaums" and "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou."

This marks the second major guest star announced for HUFF's sophomore season. Earlier this summer Showtime signed Sharon Stone for a multi-episode guest role.
