NBC UNIVERSAL TELEVISION STUDIO RENEWS SUCCESSFUL PRODUCTION DEAL WITH BROADWAY VIDEO TELEVISION

JoAnn Alfano Renews Contract as President of Broadway Video Television; Andrew Singer Named Vice President

BURBANK, Calif. -- September 16, 2005 -- NBC Universal Television Studio has renewed its primetime production agreement with Broadway Video Television, the television production arm of Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video Entertainment. Announcement of the new agreement was made by Angela Bromstad, President, NBC Universal Television Studio.

The initial "pod" agreement has generated the upcoming comedy series "Thick and Thin" for NBC and "Sons & Daughters" for ABC. Both series started production this week. In addition to the two network series pickups this season, NBC has ordered an untitled comedy pilot created by and starring Tina Fey (NBC's "Saturday Night Live"). The three projects are produced by Broadway Video Television in association with NBC Universal Television Studio.

Concurrently, JoAnn Alfano has signed a new multi-year agreement to remain as President of the Los Angeles-based Broadway Video Television, and Andrew Singer has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice President of Television for the company.

"This is the continuation of a very successful relationship," said Bromstad. "The tremendous benefit of this collaboration is evident in the pilot and series orders that have already come out of it. Lorne Michaels' name represents the gold standard of television comedy and his continued involvement along with JoAnn on our primetime development team is an incredible boost to the entire NBC Universal Group. We hope to continue our association with them for many years."

Jack Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer of Broadway Video Entertainment, said: "JoAnn has done a great job in launching this television division and we are thrilled to have her continue to build on the momentum she has created over the past two years."

Before launching Broadway Video Television in 2003, Alfano had been Senior Vice President, Comedy Development, NBC Entertainment. In that and various other programming roles with NBC and NBC Studios, she was responsible for overseeing the development and/or supervising the creative and production elements of numerous popular prime time programs including the comedy "Scrubs," the Emmy Award-winning hit comedy "Will & Grace," the People's Choice Award-winning series "Ed" and the drama "Providence."

In his new role, reporting to Alfano, Singer will be responsible for the development and production of primetime series projects. This season he also served as producer on the pilots "Sons & Daughters" and "The Weekend," and he will continue as producer for "Sons & Daughters."

Singer had previously been Director of Development for Broadway Video Television, which he joined in 2003. Prior to that, he worked at Basic Elements, a division of Carsey Werner Mandabach, in the development of alternative programming for network and cable television.

Broadway Video Entertainment is a major independent producer of television and film entertainment and one of New York's leading post-production service companies. Founded in 1979 by Lorne Michaels, Emmy Award-winning creator and executive producer of the landmark television comedy "Saturday Night Live," Broadway Video develops and produces popular feature film and television entertainment through its motion picture division and its television production arm.
