NEW YORK -- November 1, 2005 -- For a one-stop resource for all things how-to, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's nationally syndicated series, MARTHA, will be daytime's only destination location. Throughout November, host Martha Stewart will provide viewers with information packed segments that will help them get through the holiday season anchored by a list of 30 things everyone needs to know before, during and after turkey day. And at month's end (11/28), Martha will celebrate her hometown of Nutley, New Jersey, with visits from old friends, old teachers, old boyfriends and a slew of surprise guests.

Plus, Martha gets up close and personal with an impressive list of songstresses including Melissa Etheridge (11/9); Patty Loveless (11/10); Shania Twain (11/15); Trisha Yearwood (11/16) and Carly Simon (11/21), who'll join Martha for some horseback riding. Other guests in November include: Hope & Faith star Faith Ford, Joan Cusack, Desperate Housewives house husband Doug Savant, Boston Legal's Betty White, According to Jim star Courtney Thorne Smith and Today's Matt Lauer, who will get the ultimate packing lesson from Martha just prior to his departure for "Where In the World is Matt Lauer?"

Martha will uncover every minute detail to teach viewers how to get the party started and what to do after all your family and friends have headed home. And at the end of November, after all the turkey has been eaten, Martha will deliver her top 10 list for more good things viewers should know including:

- How to carve the family turkey.

- How to load the dishwasher.

- How to set the perfect holiday table.

- How to fold napkins.

- How to take the ultimate family photo.

- How to pack for a long weekend.

- What makes the perfect centerpiece.

- How to bake delicious pumpkin pie.

- How to remove stains.

- How to dance.

- How to make chocolate chip cookies.

- How to iron a shirt.

- How to tie a tie.

- How to make a bed.

- The perfect way to open a champagne bottle.

And following a nationwide search for the best bakers in America, Martha will reveal whose tarts are the talk of the town during the week of November 7. The five best amateur bakers were chosen from hundreds of entries and those selected are: New York's Merritt Palminteri (11/11); Mark McGough (11/7), a father of three from West Chester, PA; Cindy Smithy (11/8) from Wellesley, MA.; Meloni Courtway (11/10) of Petaluma, CA, who credits Martha with being her inspiration to bake, and Aubrey Cook (11/9) of St. Louis, MO. During the week of November 14, Martha goes one-on-one with some of the country's top culinary experts - chefs whose delectable fare has brought them fame on a local and national scale.
