LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- "Wanted," TNT's original series about "an elite team of crime fighters from various federal and local law enforcement agencies comes together to form a covert, undercover strike force," will return for the second half of its inaugural season on Monday, December 5 at 10:00/9:00c the network confirmed today.
The series opened to a solid 3.7 million viewers on July 31 with its summer finale on September 18 drawing 3.4 million viewers. TNT opted to give the series an 11-week break in order to avoid facing off against the broadcast networks' fall premieres. In total, five of the 13 completed episodes of the series have yet to air.
Aaron Spelling, E. Duke Vincent and series creator Jorge Zamacona are the executive producers of "Wanted," which comes from Spelling Television.
Meanwhile on other basic cable news, USA has pushed back its previously announced holiday episodes of "Monk" and "The Dead Zone" (read the story) by one week. "Mr. Monk and the Secret Santa" will now air Friday, December 2 at 10:00/9:00c with "A Very Dead Zone Christmas" now set for Sunday, December 4 at 10:00/9:00c.
