MARK MCGRATH AND JAIME PRESSLY TO HOST THE 2005 RADIO MUSIC AWARDS LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 19
KEITH URBAN, RICKY MARTIN, ASHLEE SIMPSON AND MANY MORE ARE CONFIRMED TO PERFORM DURING THE SHOW
BURBANK, Calif. -- November 29, 2005 -- Rocker and TV host Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray, "Extra") and actress Jaime Pressly (NBC's "My Name Is Earl") will host the 2005 Radio Music Awards live on Monday, December 19 (9-11 p.m. ET) from the Aladdin Casino Resort, the future home of Planet Hollywood, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Considered the Golden Globes of the music award shows because of its party-style, this year's show will feature performances by Ricky Martin (with Amerie and Fat Joe), Keith Urban (2005 CMA Entertainer of the Year), Sugarland (2005 American Music Awards winner for Favorite New Artist), Michael Bubl? and Ashlee Simpson. Also scheduled to appear are Bo Bice, Scott Weiland, Frankie J, Ryan Cabrera and many more (to be announced in subsequent releases).
Highlight's from last year's show include Ashlee Simpson proving her musical talents on the heels of her "Saturday Night Live" incident and a special show opening performance by the then recently reunited Destiny's Child.
Dave Broome, Anthony Eaton, Von Freeman and Paul Joseph are the show's executive producers.
