[via press release from The Hallmark Channel]

THE SEARCH FOR HER BIRTH MOTHER LEADS KELLIE MARTIN TO A MURDER IN MYSTERY WOMAN, AT FIRST SIGHT

Guest Star Michael Cole Joins Mod Squad Co-Star Clarence Williams III in the Hallmark Channel Mystery Movie Premiering Saturday, January 21

When mystery bookstore owner Samantha Kinsey (Kellie Martin) finds her birth mother she also discovers a dead man in the womans living room in Mystery Woman, At First Sight, a Hallmark Channel Mystery Movie premiering Saturday, January 21 (9/8 c).

Mystery Woman also stars Nina Siemaszko (The West Wing), Clarence Williams III (Mod Squad) and Casey Sander (Grace Under Fire). At First Sight guest stars include Williamss Mod Squad co-star Michael Cole, Charlie Schlatter (Diagnosis Murder), Christine Lakin (Step by Step), Kathryn Harrold (Ill Fly Away), Scott Michael Campbell (Christy with Kellie Martin), Eyal Podell (Behind Enemy Lines) and John Aprea (Another World).

A recurring nightmare and vision problems present Samantha with a new boyfriend, handsome eye-doctor Ben Stafford (Podell), and a problem. She needs to know her family medical history. But she has never told anyone that she accidentally found out that she was adopted. Assistant District Attorney Cassie Thomas (Sziemasko), and the son (Schlatter) of the lawyer who arranged her adoption, help lead her to the door of her birth mother (Harrold), half-sister (Lakin) and stepfather (Aprea).

When the local sheriff (Campbell) arrests her mother for murder, Samantha suspects her new found family is hiding some unsavory truths. Meanwhile, Philby (Williams), the bookstores normally unflappable manager, is taken by surprise by a visit from his former agency partner (Cole), on the trail of a psychic spy whom Philby supposedly took out years before. It seems Police Chief Connors (Sander) is holding the dead man for drunk driving and the former partners need to get to him. Mystery Woman was created by Michael Sloan. Joyce Burditt, creator of the acclaimed series Diagnosis Murder, is executive producer for the franchise. Mystery Woman, At First Sight was written by Mark Saraceni (JAG, The Sopranos) and directed by Kellie Martin.
