�ONE TREE HILL� FINISHES #2 WEDNESDAY TO �IDOL� IN SIX KEY DEMOS
�GILMORE GIRLS� IS ALSO #2 IN SIX KEY DEMOS VS. REALITY SHOW AND KEPT NEARLY ALL OF ITS AUDIENCE FROM THE PREVIOUS �IDOL�-FREE WEEK
The WB's ONE TREE HILL did not stand idly by Wednesday with the additional competition from American Idol. The WB's third-year drama finished #2 to the reality show in persons 12-34 (1.5/4), adults 18-34 (1.5/4), women 12-34 (2.3/6), women 18-34 (2.2/6), teens (1.7/5) and female teens (2.4/7).
On Tuesday, The WB had another outstanding performance from GILMORE GIRLS, which was also #2 to Idol in persons 12-34 (2.7/7), adults 18-34 (2.8/7), women 12-34 (3.8/9), women 18-34 (3.8/9), teens (2.4/7) and female teens (3.6/10). The show was also #3 in adults 18-49 (2.5/6), women 18-49 (3.5/8) and total viewers (5.7 million).
GILMORE GIRLS, which achieved triple-digit year-to-year gains compared to the parallel week last year across the 12-34 demos, came within one-tenth of a ratings point vs. the previous week, which was before Idol joined the schedule, in persons 12-34 and adults 18-34 and maintained its entire adult 18-49 rating. The show also retained 98% of its entire audience.
