New VH1 Podcasts Give Viewers One More Way to Enjoy Its Top Shows and Events
'Best Week Ever' Makes Primetime the Right Time With Its Nightly Video Podcast
'Best Night Ever'
NEW YORK, Feb. 7 -- Beginning today, VH1 will add four new
video podcasts to its roster of multiplatform programming, giving viewers one
more way to experience its top shows and events.
"Best Night Ever"
"Best Week Ever", VH1's highly popular series will jettison into the world
of podcasting with a nightly video podcast "Best Night Ever".
"Best Night Ever" will launch each night from Sunday to Thursday,
presenting a five-minute summary of "everything you loved, everything you
missed, and everything you have to see again" from that night's primetime
lineup, with an occasional bit of pop culture news and gossip. The podcasts
will feature commentary and clips from the night's biggest shows, as well as
some "must see" oddities and will be hosted by Best Week Ever and VH1 staff
members, as well as Best Week Ever panelists.
"Best Week Ever Daily"
"Best Week Ever" will also launch a daily dose of video commentary from
its weekly show, providing viewers with unedited "quick takes" that highlight
the week's most entertaining news and pop culture.
"Best of VH1"
The "Best of VH1" video podcast offers up exclusive multiplatform
programming from VH1 events and shows, like VH1's "All Access" and "I Love the
80's". It will be updated three times a week.
"Flavor of Love"
VH1's "Flavor of Love" podcast will highlight exclusive "extras" and
behind-the-scene footage from the show that follows Public Enemy hype-man
Flavor Flav in his quest for love.
VH1 Podcasts launched in the fall of 2005 in conjunction with VH1's "Hip
Hop Honors" event. Each "Hip Hop Honors" podcast includes interviews with
honorees LL Cool J, Ice T, Big Daddy Kane and Grandmaster Flash & The Furious
Five, samples of their discographies and commentary about their impact on hip
hop culture from Fab 5 Freddy and legendary journalist Nelson George.
VH1's podcasts will be available through several Web sites and podcast
directories, including http://www.VH1.com, iTunes and Yahoo
(http://podcasts.yahoo.com).
VH1 connects viewers to the music, artists and pop culture that matter to
them most with series, specials, live events, exclusive online content and
public affairs initiatives. VH1 is available in 87 million households in the
U.S. VH1 also has an array for digital services including VH1 Classic, VH1
Soul, VH Uno, VH1 Mega Hits and VH1 Country. Connect with VH1 at

VH1's broadband entertainment network VSPOT (http://vspot.vh1.com) offers
distinct channels of original and exclusive music and pop culture programming
that allows VH1's upscale adult audience to take VH1 with them wherever they
go. VSPOT debuted with the first episode of the VH1 series "Surreal Life 5"
three days before the series premiered on the VH1 linear network. Music
artists sound off in original franchises such as "Artist 2 Artist" and
"Take 2." In September, VSPOT extended VH1's "Hip Hop Honors" event with
elements such as "VIP Pass" which featured behind-the-scenes action hosted by
MC Lyte and an exclusive performance on the "gold carpet" by artist David
Banner -- all resulting in a six-fold increase in normal traffic.
VH1 is a registered trademark of MTV Networks, a unit of Viacom
International Inc. MTV Networks also operates and offers joint ventures,
licensing agreements and syndication deals whereby its programming can be seen
worldwide.
