The animated television series Aqua Teen Hunger Force made its debut in September 2001 on Adult Swim, Cartoon Networks sister network featuring animation for adults. Frylock, Master Shake and Meatwad are human-sized food products who live together in a rental house in New Jersey. Usually short on money and bored, they often hang out in their neighbor Carls above-ground swimming pool. Other times, they create destructive schemes to enrich themselves or tangle with enemies sinister, odd, confused and just plain annoying. Things get blown up and set on fire quite often. It is among the highest-rated programs on Adult Swim, and is regularly ranked as one of basic cables most-watched series with young adults.
To date, more than 60 episodes of the series have been produced. More than one million Aqua Teen Hunger Force DVDs have been sold. A video game based on the show will be released in 2007. An official release date and distribution plans for The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie Film for Theatres will be announced later.
