He's back, and more mystifying than ever!

SEASON TWO OF A&E'S HIT SERIES "CRISS ANGEL MINDFREAK" WORLD PREMIERE BACK-TO-BACK EPISODES BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, MAY 31, 2006 AT 10PM/9C

NEW YORK, MAY 11, 2006 -- Three-time Magician of the Year, Criss Angel, is back with a second season of A&E Network's mystical hit series CRISS ANGEL MINDFREAK. The season premieres with all-new, back-to-back, awe-inspiring episodes on Wednesday, May 31 at 10PM/9C and carries a rating of TVPG-L.

During its first season, CRISS ANGEL MINDFREAK garnered critical acclaim, delivered big ratings numbers and some of the youngest demos in the Network's history. Season Two promises more of the same, with 20 half-hour World Premiere episodes. In each episode viewers will witness Criss Angel as he captivates audiences with mind-boggling demonstrations of his skills; goes behind-the-scenes as he researches and executes his demonstrations with his crew; and meet celebrity friends who drop by to willingly participate in his antics. The second season of CRISS ANGEL MINDFREAK is filmed in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Iraq.

Following are descriptions of the May 31, World Premiere episodes:

Building Float --Wednesday, May 31 at 10PM/9C

What is being hailed as the greatest levitation of all time by the magic world, CRISS ANGEL MINDFREAK kicks off its second season on the A&E Network with "Building Float," an episode that's simply beyond comprehension. Criss floats from one building to another in front of a random crowd in the middle of the day. The incredible demonstration was inspired by the urban legend of D.D. Home, a Scotsman known for his spectacular levitations in the early 1800's. This is one of the series' many mind, body and spirit demonstrations that have never been performed by any human. Criss Angel also demonstrates an amazing light bulb float using kinetic energy, lifts a kid off a parking lot pavement by sticking his hand to the youngster's head, and harnesses the power of static electricity among a crowd to levitate off the ground in the middle of a park.

VANISH --Wednesday, May 31 at 10:30PM/9:30C

The art of magic has included disappearing acts for centuries. In this episode, Criss attempts his own incredible take on this illusion: to vanish a spectator surrounded 360 degrees by thousands of witnesses in broad daylight, in the middle of Las Vegas Fremont Street.

CRISS ANGEL MINDFREAK is an eerily entertaining series that juxtaposes reality with surreality. Each week Criss Angel demonstrates his visionary approach to the art of magic that escapes the confines of tradition and gives birth to a new breed of modern mysticism. Dubbed "the new Houdini," Criss Angel's repertoire includes mentalism, hypnosis, illusion, and escape, which blur the line between reality and illusion.

Nancy Dubuc, Robert Sharenow and Elaine Frontain Bryant are the A&E executive producers for CRISS ANGEL MINDFREAK. The series was created, directed and produced by Criss Angel and produced by Angel Productions Inc. and The Firm. Criss Angel, Dave Baram and Michael Blum serve as the executive producers.
