LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Just days after finalizing its summer plans, ABC has pulled the plug on its newcomer "Buy It Now."
The decision is understood to be the result of eBay pulling out of the project. The series, which would have aired Mondays and Tuesdays at 9:00/8:00c starting July 31, would have involved families auctioning off a variety of their prized possessions on said site in order to finance their most meaningful dreams.
Flody Suarez, Jay Blumenfield, Tony Marsh, Tom Mazza, Jak Severson and Danica Krislovich were the executive producers of the series, which was based at Madison Road Productions.
ABC hasn't specified what will fill the show's now vacant slots or if any additional adjustments to its summer lineup will be made.
