Emma's Best-Kept Secret Comes Back to Haunt Her on The N's Mid-Season Six Finale of Degrassi Friday, November 17

Six New Degrassi Minis Roll Out Weekly on The-N.com Beginning November 24

NEW YORK, Nov. 2 -- Sean may be out of jail, but he's still down and out when he discovers his not-so-perfect girlfriend Emma has been concealing a secret with his not-so-perfect best friend Jay. The N, the nighttime network for teens, premieres the highly anticipated mid-season six finale of Degrassi: The Next Generation Friday, November 17 at 8:00 p.m. (ET), followed by a new, half-hour episode of South of Nowhere at 8:30 p.m. (ET). On Friday, November 24, The Click -- The N's broadband media player (http://www.the-n.com), will unveil six new Degrassi Minis, one premiering every Friday for six consecutive weeks.

"We know that our viewers have an insatiable appetite for Degrassi, which is why we are committed to offering it across all platforms," said Sarah Tomassi Lindman, Vice President, Production and Programming, The N. "Degrassi Minis are another fantastic opportunity for The N to offer new online experiences with exclusive content all day, every day."

In the mid-season finale entitled "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," Sean is finally out of jail and excited to have a fresh start, a new job and a great girl like Emma. But his spirits are soon crushed when he learns Emma has a secret she doesn't want revealed. Once again, his world is turned upside down and he must decide if he can truly forgive and forget. Meanwhile, Derek and Danny run into issues when their history teacher Mr. Perino attempts to put an end to their antics. Things get confrontational and the boys must decide whether he is just being strict, or if he has stepped out of line.

On Friday, November 24, The N unveils six new Degrassi Minis which begin rolling out exclusively on The Click (http://www.the-n.com). A new mini will premiere every Friday for six consecutive weeks. Each mini is two to three minutes in length providing a back story to existing plot lines of the series, while others are hypothetical takes on the Degrassi universe.

The six Degrassi Minis include:

* "Two's Company" Premiering Friday, November 24 - After an embarrassing moment, Manny (the house guest who will never leave) and Mr. Simpson have an uncomfortable conversation while watching Instant Star.

* "Sean in Prison" Premiering Friday, December 1 - This vignette shows a night in the life of Sean while he was behind bars.

* "Bring It On" Premiering Friday, December 8 - Manny introduces a whole new spirit squad at the halftime basketball game with the Degrassi male student body performing an urban, in-your-face, "Bring it On"-style routine.

* "A Day in the Life of Heather Sinclair" Premiering Friday, December 15 - Through the eyes of Heather, we walk the halls of Degrassi as she's belittled and tormented (or is she the tormentor?) by several of her classmates.

* "Diary of Jay Hogart" Premiering Friday, December 22 - You think you know, but you have no idea what Jay Hogart does while the rest of Degrassi is in class.

* "Toby Dynamite" Premiering Friday, December 29 - A Napoleon Dynamite parody.
