Warner Home Video Brings the Hit Family Comedy George Lopez to DVD with the Release of George Lopez: the Complete First and Second Seasons April 17, 2007
Four-Disc Collectors Set Features 28 Episodes and Never-Before-Seen Bonus Material
BURBANK, Calif. -- This spring, consumers will be able to own one of televisions funniest family comedies, George Lopez, on DVD when Warner Home Video (WHV) releases the shows first and second seasons on April 17, 2007. The DVDs release is timed to the shows season finale on ABC and is titled George Lopez: The Complete First and Second Seasons. The four-disc collectors set will include 28 episodes, as well as exclusive bonus material, and will retail for $39.98.
Since its debut on ABC in 2002, George Lopez has become a hit with television viewers. Consistently ranking as one of the top comedies on the network, it has become the #1 comedy overall with Hispanic audiences. Popular stand-up comedian George Lopez (Real Women Have Curves, Bread & Roses) made his television debut in this family comedy as George, an assembly line worker who brings a blue-collar outlook and laughs to a white-collar job when hes promoted to manage a Los Angeles airplane parts factory.
At every turn of his life, George has been a guy who has made lemonade from lemons. At work, Georges affable and loyal friend and leader, Ernie (Valente Rodriguez, Erin Brockovich) and former compadres on the floor consider him a buddy, but that does not stop them from continuing to rib him and have their fun with his new found position of power.
Presenting a constant challenge both at work and at home is Georges tough and acerbic but loving mother, Benny (Belita Moreno, Melrose Place), with whom he tries to maintain a civil relationship. Fortunately, Georges devoted wife, Angie (Constance Marie, For Your Love, Early Edition), possesses the patience of a saint and copes surprisingly well with Bennys questionable behavior and insensitive wisecracks, and with Georges freewheeling approach to parenthood. George and Angies son, Max (Luis Armand Garcia, A Day Without a Mexican), is dyslexic and a sarcastic ball of energy, while their teenage daughter, Carmen (Masiela Lusha, Cliffords Puppy Days), struggles against her parents to assert her own independence while dealing with self esteem problems and the tribulations of being a teenage high school girl.
Aside from showcasing 28 episodes, the DVD will also include two hilarious bonus features:
