SARAH SCORES SECOND SEASON! COMEDY CENTRAL� RENEWS "THE SARAH SILVERMAN PROGRAM"
Viewers, critics and COMEDY CENTRAL have fallen for Sarah Silverman and can't get enough of her cutting edge comedy. COMEDY CENTRAL has ordered a second season of the weekly series, "The Sarah Silverman Program," it was announced today by Lauren Corrao, executive vice president, original programming and development, COMEDY CENTRAL. The second season of "The Sarah Silverman Program" will premiere in the fall with the first seven of 14 episodes.
"The Sarah Silverman Program" premiered on February 1 and is COMEDY CENTRAL's most successful primetime launch since 2004. The series has averaged 1.7 million total viewers (P2+) and 1.3 million viewers P18-49. "Silverman" has instantly become appointment viewing for young men, averaging a 3.4 M18-24 rating and has won its timeslot (10:30-11:00 p.m.) in this demo across all of television, cable and broadcast, both weeks on air. In addition, the series was the most watched cable show in primetime among all key demos (P18-49, M18-24, M18-34 and M18-49) for Thursday night over both weeks.
