TV Land Confidential, Back to the Grind and Myths and Legends: Elvis Among Originals Set to Premiere

Los Angeles, CA, June 4, 2007 � TV Land kicks off the summer armed with a slate of new original programming, a month-long tribute to Elvis Presley, the addition of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to its line-up, blockbuster movies and a programming marathon featuring the network's roster of hit shows -- all of which cater to Baby Boomers, America's "TV generation." New original programming premiering throughout the summer includes brand new episodes of the series TV Land Confidential, the premiere of the new series Back to the Grind and an original special airing as part of "Elvis Month" entitled Myths and Legends: Elvis. TV Land also continues to air pop culture movie favorites viewers know and love like Parenthood, Arthur, Dragnet, Top Gun, Honeymoon in Vegas and more during its Friday night movie block. Finally, "TV Land's Cocktail Party" -- airing weekdays -- showcases some of the network's most beloved shows such as The Andy Griffith Show, M*A*S*H, Three's Company, Good Times and more.

TV Land Confidential (returning series)

Wednesday, July 11 at 10 p.m. ET/PT

Back by popular demand, this returning six-part series tells the untold stories behind viewers' favorite TV shows, movies and musical performers. Why did a reluctant Ray Romano need to be dragged off to Italy for Everybody Loves Raymond? What made the dance scenes in Saturday Night Fever so hot? What did Michael Jackson confess to Donny Osmond? This season takes a look at "Locations," "Oddballs and Original Characters," "Guest Stars," "Finales," "Movies" and "Music."

Back to the Grind (new series)

Wednesday, July 18 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT

This half-hour series takes iconic TV performers � from Loni Anderson to Harry Anderson and other actors not named "Anderson" � and has them perform the real-life version of the jobs their characters held on Classic TV shows like WKRP in Cincinnati and Night Court. Other performers featured include Erik Estrada, Marla Gibbs, Sherman Hemsley, Betty White, Mark Curry, Bea Arthur, Ed Begley Jr. and Jimmie "J.J." Walker.

Myths and Legends: Elvis (special)

Thursday, August 16 at 10 p.m. ET/PT

Based on the popularity of season one of TV Land Myths & Legends, this half-hour special coincides with TV Land's month-long salute to Elvis Presley. Thirty years after his death, TV Land takes an in-depth look at some of the most popularly held mysteries about the "King of Rock and Roll" and dissects them to separate fact from fiction.

MOVIE LAND

Friday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT

TV Land continues to air its signature movie block on Friday nights at 10 p.m. of some of the most beloved, enduring and iconic movies that Boomers fell in love with at the multiplex or first experienced through television. Among the films to be shown are Parenthood, Arthur, The Negotiator, Dragnet, Top Gun, Honeymoon in Vegas, The Longest Yard and Major League.

It was thirty years ago this August that the world said goodbye to one of the greatest entertainers and cultural icons of all time � Elvis Presley. In a monumental tribute, TV Land will showcase a number of Presley's treasured work by airing films, concerts, documentaries and interstitial programming starring and about the "King of Rock �n' Roll" every day throughout the month.
