FREE TO WIN BIG AT THE 2007 PROMAX/BDA AWARDS

Burbank, CA (June 20, 2007) - The CW Network's marketing team walked away with a grand total of 19 honors during the annual Promax/BDA 2007 Promotion and Marketing Awards, including 13 Gold Promax awards and 2 Gold BDA awards.

"To receive this level of overwhelming recognition, especially for a new network in its first year, is a testament to the hard work, dedication and effort of the amazing group of creative executives assembled here at The CW," said Rick Haskins, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Brand Strategy, The CW.

The CW won for virtually all of the promotion and marketing elements the network submitted. The only major broadcaster to earn more Gold Promax awards than The CW was ABC, which earned 15.

Among the list of accolades the network earned was The CW's overall Launch and Image Campaign. To distinguish itself right from the outset, The CW created a distinctive brand image for all components of the launch and integrated across all media platforms, including on-air, print and online. The key components of The CW's award-winning graphics consisted of its signature green color palette, the subway map-style look and "Free to Be" slogan.

The CW's ground-breaking content wraps also took home a Gold Promax award for the CWH: Herbal Essences. Additionally, The CW won awards for several Kids' WB! promotions, as well as primetime series including "Supernatural" and "Smallville."
