DIRECTORS ANTOINE FUQUA AND BRAD SILBERLING TO SERVE AS GUEST JUDGES "ON THE LOT"
Fuqua ("Training Day") to Appear Tuesday, July 17, and Silberling ("Lemony Snicket") to Appear Tuesday, July 24, on FOX
"Training Day" and "Shooter" director Antoine Fuqua and "Lemony Snicket" and "City of Angels" director Brad Silberling will serve as the next two guest judges alongside regulars Carrie Fisher and Garry Marshall on FOX's moviemaking competition series ON THE LOT. Fuqua will guest on the Tuesday, July 17 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) episode, which will spotlight five action short films; and Silberling will guest on the Tuesday, July 24 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) episode, which will spotlight six comedy-themed films.
Ten director finalists currently remain in the competition. On Tuesday's episode, two of five director finalists who premiered a film with the theme "When Two Worlds Collide" will be eliminated based on viewer votes, and the second group of five finalists will each present an original action short film to be critiqued by the judges (including Fuqua) and then opened to viewer voting. The following week, two of these contestants will be told "It's a wrap" and will be eliminated from the competition. The remaining six director finalists then will each present an original comedy-themed short film to be critiqued by the judges (including Silberling) and opened to viewer voting, ultimately leaving the Top 5 director finalists to compete in the July 31 episode.
ON THE LOT is produced by Mark Burnett Productions, DreamWorks Television and Amblin Television. Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg are creators and executive producers. David Goffin serves as executive producer with Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey and Conrad Riggs co-executive producers. Adrianna Costa serves as the host.
