FEATURED PROGRAMMING AT TCA

BUFU - BUFU starts where "The Chappelle Show" left off. It's an animated sketch comedy show in the tradition of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and SCTV, from the brilliant and hilarious minds of executive producers Orlando Jones (MAD TV) and Ali LeRoi (EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS). BUFU is set to premiere Tuesday, November 13, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on BET. Both Jones and LeRoi participated in BET Networks' panel discussion about the show at TCA.

Premiere date/schedule: Tuesday, November 13 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT

SUNDAY BEST - BET brought you the CELEBRATION OF GOSPEL, the #1 religious program in television history, and now comes SUNDAY BEST, a nationwide search for America's next great gospel singer. SUNDAY BEST will search storefront churches, parishes and mega-churches from Atlanta to Los Angeles and Chicago to find the best undiscovered singers in America. The top contestants will be coached by great performers from the gospel and secular worlds as they strive to win the SUNDAY BEST title. Top contestants will receive prizes for themselves and for their churches and communities as well.

Premiere date/schedule: Tuesday, October 2 at 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET/PT

HIP HOP VS. AMERICA - HIP HOP VS. AMERICA is a multi-episode special featuring a recent BET Town Hall discussion on the subject of hip hop -- a powerful, enlightening, and provocative debate that takes an honest look at the culture's merits and faults. Unlike most other televised discussions of these issues, BET's Town Hall showed a full continuum of opinions and went beyond the attacks and soundbites to delving into the real humanity behind it all, reflecting on what contemporary hip-hop means and what it says about Black America. Panelists featured in the special range from rappers Nelly, T.I., Chuck D and Master P to journalists Diane Weathers, Farai Chideya and Stanley Crouch, as well as Rev. Al Sharpton. This special series will air in fall 2007. Rev. Sharpton and Chuck D joined BET Networks at TCA to talk about the Town Hall.
