BURBANK -- July 18, 2007 -- NBC will celebrate the re-airing of "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America" on Thursday, July 19 as the international superstar hosts the NBC Thursday night comedy line-up (8-10 p.m. ET) leading into an encore presentation of her popular special (10-11 p.m. ET) featuring her move across the pond from London to Los Angeles.
Beckham will provide commentary about her life in America featuring clips from her recent special, while she takes viewers through two hours of critically acclaimed comedy starting with "My Name Is Earl" at 8 p.m. ET, followed by "30 Rock" at 8:30 p.m. ET, leading into "The Office" at 9:00 p.m. ET and ending with "Scrubs" at 9:30 p.m. ET.
After the laughs, Victoria will introduce her popular special, "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America," which premiered as the #1 show in adults 18-49 from 8-9 p.m. on Monday, July 16. The special, which averaged a 2.2 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 5.0 million viewers overall, gave NBC a 29 percent increase on the network's 18-49 average in the time period this summer and a 57 percent jump in the slot week-to-week. Versus NBC's rating in this time period on the same night last year, "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America" was up 47 percent (2.2 vs. 1.5). The hour-long special won the time period among key adults 18-49, women 18-49, adults, men and women 18-34, adults 25-54 (tie) and women 25-54 (tie).
"Victoria Beckham: Coming to America" delves into the former Spice Girl's larger-than-life world and will reveal the woman behind the fashion icon. Her mischievous sense of humor and willingness to poke fun at her image leads to some of the most insightful and hilarious moments.
The special is produced by 19 Entertainment, a fully owned subsidiary of CKX, Inc. (NASDAQ: CKXE). Simon Fuller ("American Idol"), Kim Fuller ("Tracey Takes On") and Mike Nichols ("High School Reunion") are the executive producers.
