LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX is changing its tune on Friday nights, pulling the plug on "Nashville" and adding a second run of "Don't Forget the Lyrics!" to the night.
"Nashville," which has been on the sidelines since September 21, had tentatively been set to return on November 9.
"Lyrics" will instead assume the Friday, 9:00/8:00c slot on said date, in addition to its regular Thursday, 9:00/8:00c broadcasts.
As previously announced, two-hour editions of "The Next Great American Band" will fill the night on October 19, October 26 and November 2 before it cuts down to one-hour installments on November 9.
Go Go Luckey Productions was behind "Nashville" with Gary Auerbach, Julie Auerbach, Liz Bronstein, Tina Gazzerro and Hans Tobeason serving as executive producers.
It's not clear how many episodes beyond the two that aired were produced.
