ABC FAMILY AND COSMOGIRL! ARE GOING TO PROM TOGETHER WITH A PARTNERSHIP IN SUPPORT OF A NEW REALITY SERIES "AMERICA'S PROM QUEEN" SET TO PREMIERE MONDAY, MARCH 17

Hosted by Miss USA 2003 Susie Castillo and Prom Committee Panelists To Include CosmoGIRL's Editor In Chief Susan Schulz, Jai Rodriguez, Brooke Hogan and Theo Von

(Burbank, CA January 28, 2008) As ABC Family gets ready to launch their new reality show, "America's Prom Queen," CosmoGIRL! has become the show's exclusive magazine partner, it was announced today by Paul Lee, president, ABC Family. Premiering Monday, March 17 (9:00 10:00 p.m. ET/PT), the six one-hour episodes that will send several lucky girls on a fairytale journey in hopes of becoming "America's Prom Queen" will be executive produced by Patty Ivins and Julie Pizzi.

"There's so much anticipation for this series - we think CosmoGIRL! is just the perfect partner for America's Prom Queen, and perfectly timed just as everyone's getting ready for prom," said Mr. Lee. "We are thrilled to have their expertise as part of the show."

"Most girls have been dreaming about prom since before they were 10," says CosmoGIRL! Editor in Chief Susan Schulz. "By partnering with ABC Family on America's Prom Queen', we're searching among all of those girls to find the one who truly represents the prom queen traditionsomeone who not only knows how to put together a gorgeous prom look, but even more importantly, someone who has the ability to make those around her feel amazing too."

As a result of this partnership, CosmoGIRL! will be featured throughout the series in a number of ways. During each episode, Editor in Chief Susan Schulz will serve as a judge on the Prom Committee. The Committee will judge the challenges, critique the girls' performances and decide who should be eliminated each week.

At the end of the fifth week, the Prom Committee will have selected a Prom Court of finalists, who will then face the vote of the viewers to decide who will become "America's Prom Queen."

The other panelists who will make up the Prom Committee include style and cultural expert Jai Rodriquez ("Ultimate Style," "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy"), pop star Brooke Hogan ("Hogan Knows Best") and reality television star Theo Von ("Last Comic Standing," "Road Rules").

Additionally, episode five will feature a CosmoGIRL!-themed challenge that will include a photo shoot with the remaining contestants that will run in the May 2008 issue.

CosmoGIRL! will also provide a portion of the grand prize: the girl elected to become "America's Prom Queen" will become CosmoGIRL!'s official prom correspondent, and will be given the opportunity to be a guest editor for the magazine's 2009 prom coverage. She will also receive an all-expense paid trip to New York City to meet with the editors of the magazine, who will give her a day of beauty, which will be documented and featured on the CosmoGIRL! website (www.cosmogirl.com). The magazine will also provide prom content for abcfamily.com.

"America's Prom Queen" will follow the dreams of 10 girls as they compete to prove to America that they deserve the title of "America's Prom Queen." The girls will participate in a series of challenges that test their prom know-how from sense of style, ability to dance, prom spirit and planning skills. The Prom Committee narrows down the competition to a final Prom Court of contestants but the final decision will be turned over to the viewers, who will then get their chance to vote for who they believe should become "America's Prom Queen."

Patty Ivins and Julie Pizzi have executive produced "Miss America Reality Check," NBC's "Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Model Search," Showtime's "Reversal of Fortune" and two seasons of Style's hit show "Dress My Nest."

Together Ivins and Pizzi also co-executive produced Fox's "The Simple Life Reunion." In addition to reality television, both Ivins and Pizzi have produced many hours of documentary programming for Showtime, A&E, AMC, CMT, TLC, and Discovery. In 2003, Ivins won a daytime Emmy for AMC's "Hollywood Rocks The Movies: The 1970's with David Bowie." In 2000, Pizzi was nominated for an Emmy for MTV's "Road Rule IX."
