Lifetime Television Commemorates Black History Month with 'I Have a Dream' All-Day Programming Event on Saturday, February 16, from 11AM-11PM (ET/PT), Featuring Premiere of Lifetime Original Movie 'Racing for Time,' Starring Charles S. Dutton

NEW YORK, Feb. 4 -- Lifetime Television is commemorating Black History Month in February with a special all-day programming event on Saturday, February 16, from 11AM-11PM (ET/PT), featuring six films highlighted by the premiere of the Lifetime Original Movie "Racing for Time," starring Emmy Award-winning actor Charles S. Dutton, who also directs the movie.

Debuting at 9PM (ET/PT), "Racing for Time" is the inspiring and uplifting story about a male prison guard who creates an unconventional sports program for some of the toughest and most violent female offenders at a juvenile correctional facility in an attempt to teach them teamwork, discipline and self-esteem.

The "I Have a Dream" programming stunt also showcases Angela Bassett in a pair of biopics. First, she co-stars with Laurence Fishburne in the Tina Turner story "What's Love Got to Do With It" at 11AM (ET/PT), and then she co-stars with Cicely Tyson in "The Rosa Parks Story" at 1PM (ET/PT).

At 3PM (ET/PT), Raven-Symone stars in the true story "For One Night," followed at 5PM (ET/PT) by "Fighting the Odds: The Marilyn Gambrell Story," starring Jami Gertz.

At 7 PM (ET/PT), Fantasia Barrino portrays herself in "The Fantasia Barrino Story: Life is Not a Fairy Tale," the second most watched movie in Lifetime's history, leading into "Racing for Time" at 9PM (ET/PT).

"Racing for Time" is produced by von Zerneck Sertner Films, Tiara Blu Films and Harbor Lights Productions for Lifetime Television. Diane Nabatoff ("Take the Lead," "Knights of the South Bronx"), Rocky Lang ("Titanic" - the television miniseries, "White Squall"), Frank von Zerneck and Robert M. Sertner (Lifetime's "Fatal Desire" and "We Were the Mulvaneys") are the executive producers. Charles S. Dutton ("The Corner," "Against the Ropes") directs from a script written by Glenn German and Adam Rodgers ("We'll Take Manhattan"). Dutton is also co-executive producer.
