'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT,' NBC'S #1 SHOW OF THE SUMMER, FEATURES AUDITIONS FROM THE MYSPACE VIRTUAL CITY IN FINAL AUDITION EPISODE TUESDAY, JULY 29

SERIES ACHIEVES HIGHEST RATING OF THE SEASON LAST WEEK WITH OVER 13 MILLION VIEWERS!

BURBANK, Calif. July 28, 2008 "America's Got Talent," NBC's smash hit and the summer's highest rated show with over 13 million viewers, will feature auditions from MySpace's "Virtual Audition City" in Tuesday's final audition show of the season (July 29, 9-10 p.m. ET).

New this season, the judges had a chance to experience the possibilities of cyberspace by meeting acts that were submitted via MySpace's "Virtual Audition City." At the start of the episode is a performance that judge Sharon Osbourne will never forget when she meets an Ozzy impersonator that mimics her husband so well she questions if it might actually be him!

Next, the judges are moved by the performance of singer Holly Stone, who was recently reconnected with her long lost daughter via MySpace and was thus encouraged by their new relationship to share her voice through the same medium. Another mother and daughter duo whistle their rendition of The Sound of Music's "Climb Every Mountain" leaving both the audience and the judges bewildered. Last but not least, the final act of the audition tour is Daniel Von Jens, a soldier with the 1st Cavalry Division, who recently returned from serving in Iraq. Daniel's moving story and ability to sing will no doubt inspire an entire nation.

The cyberspace acts that make it through to the "Vegas Callbacks" will then move on to the live semi-final performance episodes where the American viewing audience will vote for their favorites each week.

On August 5 (9-11 p.m. ET) and August 7 (9:30-11 p.m. ET), the Las Vegas Callbacks episodes will air and the Top 40 acts will be determined before a brief hiatus due to the Summer Olympics (August 8-24). The series will resume with live performance episodes and results shows on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (8-10 p.m. ET) beginning August 26-27.

Bringing the variety format back to the forefront of American culture, "America's Got Talent," hosted by Jerry Springer, showcases the hottest performers from across the country, with the winner being chosen by the television viewing audience. Each week, the show features a colorful array of hopeful future stars -- singers, dancers, comedic performers and unique acts of all ages who have a chance to strut and perform in front of a panel of celebrity judges including David Hasselhoff, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan.

Terry Fator, a ventriloquist from Dallas, Texas, had his life changed forever last August when he was crowned the second season champion. Not only did he win the million-dollar grand prize, but his lifelong dream to headline on the Las Vegas strip came true when he signed a contract with The Las Vegas Hilton in a deal worth more than $1.5 million dollars.

"America's Got Talent" is produced by FremantleMedia North America and Simon Cowell's SYCO Televison. Cowell, Cecile Frot-Coutaz ("American Idol"), Jason Raff, James Sunderland and Georgie Hurford-Jones are executive producers.
