"PROJECT RUNWAY" WINNER AND FASHION DESIGNER CHRISTIAN SIRIANO SELECTED TO DESIGN SECOND RED CARPET GOWN FOR "THE 60TH PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS" TROPHY PRESENTER
Ceremony Airs Live September 21 on ABC
Last season's "Project Runway" winner and celebrity designer Christian Siriano has been chosen to design a red carpet gown for "The 60th Primetime Emmy Awards" trophy girl, it was announced today by Ken Ehrlich, executive producer of the telecast. Last month it was announced that Lauren Conrad ("The Hills") will be designing a gown for a trophy presenter as well. "The 60th Primetime Emmy(r) Awards" will air live from the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT) on the ABC Television Network.
"We are looking forward to showcasing two very talented designers at this year's Primetime Emmy Awards. Both Christian Siriano and Lauren Conrad will present a gown that reflects their style and personality," said Ehrlich.
"I am honored to design a gown for this year's Primetime Emmy Awards trophy presenter. It has been so inspiring watching the Emmys every year to see who is going to be the most fabulous diva at the show. It's wonderful to see what the stars are wearing and which designer takes over the carpet. It will be such an experience seeing my own creation on stage," added Siriano.
Siriano, who has worked with designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen, got his big break when he earned a spot on season four of "Project Runway" and then went on to become the show's youngest ever winner. He is currently hard at work designing a collection to be shown during New York's Spring Fashion Week.
The telecast is being produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures LLC. Returning with Ehrlich are producer Renato Basile and co-producer Danette Herman. Louis J. Horvitz will be directing.
