It's Gonna Be One Bad Mutha...Shut Yo Mouth!

Join VH1 As It Celebrates Black History Month With The Premiere Of VH1's "Black To The Future"

A 4-Part Special Premiering Tuesday, February 24 - Friday, February 27 At 10pm* Each Night!

Hosted by Actor/Comedian David Alan Grier

NEW YORK, Feb. 19 -- In celebration of Black History Month, the producers of VH1's popular "I Love The" franchise present "Black to the Future," a 4-part special celebrating the great contributions of African-Americans to pop culture. From "The Jeffersons" to the "Arsenio Hall Show," from Barry White to Beyonce , and from the afro to the Jheri curl, each hour will revisit it all...from the most def to the most whack...from the 70s till now. In the famous words of Soul Train's deep-voiced host Don Cornelius, "It's going to be a stone-cold gas!" Don't miss the trip!

Premiering on Tuesday, February 24 - Friday, February 27, at 10PM* each night, hosted by actor/comedian/producer David Alan Grier, VH1's "Black to the Future" is a nostalgic journey of all people and things African-American -- the music, the people, the movies, TV shows, products, fashions, fads, trends, scandals and events. VH1's "Black To The Future" celebrates the black experience by honoring the days when "Roots" made American TV history, when Michael Jackson's white glove became an instant fashion sensation, when Michael Jordan became the greatest basketball player on the planet, culminating with the election of America's first African-American president, Barack Obama.

The tour guides on this hip trip through the decades are a humorous group of African-American comics, musicians, actors, including Nick Cannon, Method Man, Ice-T, Jesse Jackson, Bobby Brown, Sherri Shephard, Salt-N-Pepa, Chilli, Macy Gray, and Tommy Davidson to name a few as well as some of the popular favorites from "I Love The" series cast. All will address all the major issues, celebrate outstanding African-American personalities like Will Smith and Jesse Jackson and most importantly, tackle some unanswered questions posed throughout the decades, including: "What you talking bout Willis?" and "You down with "O.P.P.?"

VH1's "Black to the Future" is a production of VH1, with Shelly Tatro, Karla Hidalgo and Jeff Olde, serving as executive producers.
