NEW YORK, NY - October 1, 2009 - Bravo is currently in development with three docu-series, each following a talented, ambitious and breakout personality who has emerged from the network - "The Real Housewives of New York City's" Bethenny Frankel, designer and "Project Runway" season four winner Christian Siriano, and "Top Chef: New York" season five fan favorite and finalist Fabio Viviani. These highly creative experts will give viewers a new, inside look at their lives and careers. The announcements were made by Frances Berwick, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Bravo Media.
As one of the breakout characters of "The Real Housewives of New York City," Bethenny Frankel has shared her social life with millions of viewers, and in her new docu-series fans will get an up close and personal look at her career. Viewers will follow the outspoken New York City socialite as she juggles her happy love life, insanely busy schedule and career as a natural foods chef. Somewhere in her schedule she found time to write a book on healthy living - Naturally Thin: Unleash Your Skinny Girl & Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting that quickly became a New York Times bestseller - and continues to manage her line of "Skinny Girl" cocktails.
The Untitled Christian Siriano Project will follow the New York based designer as he takes his burgeoning fashion lines and career to the next level. Tackling a challenging business environment as well as intense expectations from the fashion community and fans alike, Christian strives to build a groundbreaking career in fashion. Born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, Siriano began his career in fashion at 13. After interning for both Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, Siriano showed his first small collection during London fashion week in the Fall of 2005, and since has shown three runway collections at New York Fashion Week (available at Saks Fifth Avenue and other luxury retailers). He also created a designer collection for Payless Shoes and an exclusive beauty collection for Victoria's Secret Beauty. Siriano is the author of Fierce Style: How To Be Your Most Fabulous Self, which will be released in October.
The Untitled Fabio Viviani Project follows the passionate chef and "Top Chef" finalist as he charms his way through the competitive culinary world of Los Angeles. The series focuses on the extravagant Viviani and his business partner Jacopo Falleni as they try to reach a wider and more diverse client base and cater high-end events. Viewers will see the pair deal with a new and challenging event each week, as they manage their demanding client list. Born and raised in Florence, Italy and currently residing in Southern California, Viviani is the owner and Executive Chef of Caf Firenze Italian Restaurant and Martini Bar, where he incorporates Italian, French and Spanish influences in his dishes.
The Christian Siriano and Fabio Viviani projects were developed and executive produced by the Emmy Award winning Magical Elves for Bravo, and Shed Media U.S. will produce the Frankel docu-series.
