NEW YORK, Jan. 14, 2010 � Every Saturday at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT**), CINEMAX premieres exclusive* "See It Saturday" movies, spotlighting top Hollywood comedies and thrillers. Among the standout "See It Saturday" films making their national pay-cable TV debuts on CINEMAX early this year are X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE (March 27), WATCHMEN: DIRECTOR'S CUT (April), I LOVE YOU, MAN (Jan. 16), STATE OF PLAY (April), THE UNBORN (Jan. 30) and THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT (Feb. 20).
CINEMAX is the place to find the hottest action hits in 2010. X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, debuting SATURDAY, MARCH 27 (10:00 p.m.), explores the history of the Marvel Comics character, recounting the events leading up to his mutation and subsequent collaboration with the X-Men. Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Danny Huston, Dominic Monaghan and Ryan Reynolds star in this prequel to the popular film series, which is directed by Gavin Hood, screenplay by David Benioff and Skip Woods.
In an alternate version of 1985, a group of retired superheroes are reunited after one of their own is brutally murdered in WATCHMEN: DIRECTOR'S CUT, debuting in APRIL. Based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, this dark action flick stars Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Carla Gugino, Jackie Earle Haley, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Patrick Wilson. This director's cut version includes 25 minutes of extra action and story not seen in theaters.
Based on the hit video game series, STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI follows female crime-fighter Chun-Li in her quest for justice when the action-packed film adaptation debuts SATURDAY, JAN. 23 (10:00 p.m.). Kristin Kreuk, Chris Klein, Neal McDonough, Robin Shou, Moon Bloodgood, Josie Ho, Taboo and Michael Clarke Duncan star in the film, directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, with a screenplay by Justin Marks.
DRAGONBALL EVOLUTION follows a young man on his quest to fulfill his grandfather's wishes and gather all seven Dragon Balls before an evil lord takes over the world when it debuts SATURDAY, FEB. 6 (10:00 p.m.). The live-action fantasy stars Justin Chatwin, Emmy Rossum, Jamie Chung and Chow Yun-Fat, and is directed by James Wong, based on the graphic novel series "Dragonball," with a screenplay by Ben Ramsey.
An aimless young man who peddles counterfeit merchandise on the streets meets a street-fighting coach who changes his life when FIGHTING debuts SATURDAY, MARCH 20 (10:00 p.m.). Channing Tatum and Terrence Howard star.
CINEMAX also premieres comedies in 2010 to keep the laughs coming through the new year. After proposing to his girlfriend, a man searches for a male friend to be his best man when I LOVE YOU, MAN debuts SATURDAY, JAN. 16 (10:00 p.m.). Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Rashida Jones, Andy Samberg, J.K. Simmons, Jane Curtin, Jon Favreau and Jaime Pressly star in this buddy comedy, which is directed by John Hamburg, with a story by Larry Levin, and screenplay by John Hamburg and Larry Levin.
Seth Rogen stars as a mall cop on a mission to apprehend a flasher in the dark comedy OBSERVE & REPORT, also starring Anna Faris, Michael Pena and Ray Liotta, debuting SATURDAY, MARCH 6 (10:00 p.m.). Written and directed by Jody Hill.
After waking up from a coma, a young man learns that his once-virginal high school sweetheart is now a centerfold model and travels cross-country to win her back in MISS MARCH, debuting SATURDAY, FEB. 13 (10:00 p.m.). The screwball comedy stars Zach Cregger, Trevor Moore, Craig Robinson and Hugh M. Hefner, and is directed by Zach Cregger & Trevor Moore, story by Dennis Haggerty & Ryan Homchick & Thomas Mimms, screenplay by Zach Cregger & Trevor Moore.
CINEMAX also features heart-racing thrillers in early 2010. A congressman is desperate to clear his name and protect his career after his mistress turns up dead, leading two journalists to untangle an intricate web of lies in STATE OF PLAY, debuting in APRIL. Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Robin Wright Penn, Jason Bateman, Jeff Daniels and Helen Mirren star in this political thriller, directed by Kevin Macdonald, with a screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan, Tony Gilroy and Billy Ray.
Haunted by a boy's ghost, a young woman seeks the help of a spiritual adviser to break a long-running family curse when THE UNBORN debuts SATURDAY, JAN. 30 (10:00 p.m.). Odette Yustman, Gary Oldman, Cam Gigandet, Meagan Good and Jane Alexander star in this horror yarn.
A vacationing couple take in a group of strangers, with shocking consequences, in THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, based on Wes Craven's horror movie of the same name and debuting SATURDAY, FEB. 20 (10:00 p.m.). Tony Goldwyn, Monica Potter and Sara Paxton star.
