NBC ADDS POPULAR COMPETITION SERIES 'MINUTE TO WIN IT' TO SUMMER LINE UP BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, JULY 7 (8-9 P.M. ET)

All-American Chef and Popular Television Personality Guy Fieri Hosts

UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIF. - April 21, 2010 - NBC will air a mix of original and encore episodes of the family-friendly competition show "Minute To Win It" this summer beginning Wednesday, July 7 (8-9 p.m. ET) through September 8 (8-9 p.m. ET). Immediately following the show will be original episodes of the summer's #1 series "America's Got Talent" (9-11 p.m. ET).

"Minute To Win It," which recently got renewed for a second season, has averaged a 1.9 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.8 million viewers overall in its regular Sunday time period from 8-9 p.m. ET. All six regular telecasts to date have generated significant growth from their first half-hours to their second, averaging a 31 percent increase from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 and a 24 percent gain in total viewers.

NBC has also run "Minute To Win It" three times on Wednesdays at 8 p.m., with the most recent encore telecast on April 18 tying for the time-period victory in adults 18-49 with a 1.9 rating, 5 share in 18-49 and 5.8 million viewers overall.

"Minute to Win It," hosted by All-American chef and television personality Guy Fieri ("Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives"), features competitors participating in a series of simple, yet nerve-wracking, games that can lead to a $1 million prize. In each one-hour episode, competitors face 10 challenges that escalate in level of difficulty using everyday household items. Each game has a one minute time limit and failure to finish the task on time will eliminate the contestant. At various points throughout the game, the competitor can walk away with the money earned up to that point - but it'll take nerves of steel to complete all 10 tasks to win $1 million.

The competitors, who come from all walks of life, are shown over 60 games prior to the competition and are encouraged to practice these one-of-a-kind challenges at home.

"Minute to Win It" is produced by Universal Media Studios with Friday TV. Craig Plestis, Tim Puntillo (NBC's "Identity"), Mattias Olsson and Jock Millgardh serve as executive producers.

NBC.com hosts the official show website and includes fun play at home games, full episodes and more.
