PAGE KENNEDY AND FRANKIE SHAW JOIN THE CAST OF SPIKE'S SCRIPTED COMEDY SERIES "BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE"

Production On Second Season Set To Begin This Week In Montreal, Canada

Series Produced By Varsity Pictures And Lionsgate

New York, NY, June 7, 2010 - Spike TV's "Blue Mountain State" returns to the gridiron with two new cast members when the network's scripted comedy series begins production on its second season of 13 episodes this week in Montreal. "Blue Mountain State" is produced by Varsity Pictures' Brian Robbins ("Varsity Blues," "Smallville," "One Tree Hill") and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett and Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF).

Page Kennedy ("Weeds") joins the cast as Radon Randell, a top recruit whose talent is matched only by his outrageous behavior and huge ego. Frankie Shaw ("The Freebie," "Falling Up," "Explicit Ills") joins as Mary Jo Cacciatore, the wild, sexy party-girl sister of the team's mascot.

Season two of "Blue Mountain State" finds Coach Marty Daniels (Ed Marinaro) under pressure to deliver a winning season after an embarrassing showing last year that almost ruined his legacy and put his five national college football titles into question. The BMS Goats are led on the field by overzealous team captain Thad Castle (Alan Ritchson) and freshman quarterback sensation Radon Randell (Kennedy). Off the field, the team is led by Alex Moran (Darin Brooks), the second string quarterback who is content riding the bench, and his best friend and team mascot Sammy Cacciatore (Romanski). Sammy's troubles will also multiply this season when his sister, Mary Jo (Shaw), transfers to BMS.

Page Kennedy is represented by MKS and managed by Principato Young. Frankie Shaw is represented by ICM and managed by Stacy Abrams Management.

The debut season of "Blue Mountain State" was seen by more than 40 million people in the United States. On Spike.com, show-related videos generated over 3.5 million video views during the course of the season. "Blue Mountain State" is also seen in 30 countries around the world.

Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett are executive producers. Romanski, who also stars as Sammy, and Eric Falconer ("The Sarah Silverman Program," "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia") also serve as executive producers and writers.
