BAD GIRLS AND BIG HAIR TURN UP THE HEAT ON OXYGEN IN AUGUST

"BGC Miami" Premieres In Summer For First-Time at New Time Tuesday, August 3 at 9pm ET/PT

New Extreme Hair Competition Series "Hair Battle Spectacular" Enters the Ring Beginning Tuesday, August 10 at 10pm ET/PT

New York- June 14, 2010 - Tuesday nights are about to get a lot hotter as Oxygen Media rouses those lazy days of summer with August premieres including the return of hit series "Bad Girls Club," in its new city and its new time, Tuesday, August 3 at 9pm ET/PT; and the series premiere of fantasy hair competition series "Hair Battle Spectacular," Tuesday, August 10 at 10pm ET/PT. The new Tuesday lineup marks the network's first night of programming with weekly, back-to-back premieres of two original series.

"BGC Miami" - Premieres Tuesday, August 3 at 9pm ET/PT

For the first time, the fifth season of "Bad Girls Club" travels south to the hot beaches of Miami. The new batch of seven self-proclaimed "Bad Girls" live together with similarly explosive personalities, resulting in constant clashing between housemates. Besides hitting the trendy South Beach clubs, these "Bad Girls" are ready to take it up a notch -- with manipulative backstabbing friendships, in-house love triangles, exotic trips to the Caribbean, unexpected alliances and endless mind games. Season four posted record ratings in first quarter 2010 and made network history as the best performing series ever, surpassing the three million viewer mark, besting the broadcast networks in its last two episodes in the W18-34 demographic. "Bad Girls Club" is produced by Bunim-Murray Productions.

"Hair Battle Spectacular" - Premieres Tuesday, August 10 at 10pm ET/PT

Hosted by actress Brooke Burns, this competition series pits 10 of America's hottest stylists against each other to see who can deliver the biggest and best in fantasy hair design. Part sculpture and part pop art, each challenge requires contestants to create outrageous coifs that resemble everything from multi-layer wedding cakes to toys with moveable pieces. The stylists then enter the ring to present their hair creations in a fully produced, dramatic and stylized performance. After each challenge, the judges -- award-winning fantasy hair designer Derek J, celebrity stylist Lindsay Albanese and a rotating guest judge -- critique the designers on creativity, execution and overall presentation. In addition to blow-by-blow drama in the arena, there is also the day-to-day drama between the cohabitating stylists who fight each week to stay in the game and win the ultimate prize of $100,000. "Hair Battle Spectacular" is produced by 3 Ball Productions with JD Roth, Todd Nelson, Adam Greener, and Mike Nichols serving as executive producers.
