13TH GRADE (FX, New!) - Derek Waters, Michael Cera and Emily Kapnek are developing a new comedy at the cable channel about "a high school graduate who's content with his meager lifestyle - until his girlfriend dumps him for being 'stuck' between childhood and adulthood." Waters would topline the project, which is based on an idea by him and Paige Gullivan, with Cera is co-writing the script with Gullivan. Waters, Cera, Kapnek and Naomi Odenkirk then will executive produce for FX Productions.
FUTURAMA (Comedy Central) - Twentieth Television has cleared the off-network rights to the series on various Tribune stations for a fall 2011 launch. WPIX New York, KTLA Los Angeles, WPHL Philadelphoa, WDCW Washington, KIAH Houston and KDAF Dallas - plus independent WCIU Chicago - are among the participating stations, which cover 30% of the country.
TEMPS (NBC, New!) - "Party Down" alums Rob Thomas, John Enbom and Dan Etheridge have scored a put pilot order from the Peacock for a new single-camera comedy about "a group of recent college grads who are forced to take a variety of oddball temp jobs to make ends meet." Thomas and Enbom will pen the Warner Bros. Television-based half-hour and executive produce alongside Etheridge and frequent collaborators Jennifer Gwartz and Danielle Stokdyk.
