Discovery Tables "Pitchmen," Animal Planet Moves Up "Whale Wars" Special

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Discovery has pulled the sophomore season of its reality series "Pitchmen" just two episodes into its run.
Tonight's installment was quietly replaced by an encore of "County Jail: Miami" while additional specials will fill the Thursday, 9:00/8:00c hour for the foreseeable future.
No return date was given.
Meanwhile, network sibling Animal Planet has moved up its one-hour special "Whale Wars: From Pirate to Prisoner" to Monday, September 6 at 10:00/9:00c. Said event, originally set for Friday, September 17 at 10:00/9:00c, will instead follow the channel's 13-hour "Whale Wars" marathon on Labor Day.
