(Silver Spring, Md.) - This fall, the real-life docu-series that invited viewers into the morgue-and the world of forensic pathology-returns with six world-premiere medical mysteries. All-new episodes of DR. G: MEDICAL EXAMINER begin Monday, October 4, at 9 PM (ET/PT) on Discovery Health.
Since the series premiere of DR. G: MEDICAL EXAMINER, Jan "Dr. G" Garavaglia has led more than 150 forensic investigations on Discovery Health-closing case files and providing answers for the departed's loved ones. On each episode, viewers go on the job with Dr. G, the chief medical examiner for the District Nine Medical Examiner's Office in Florida, as she tackles actual cases in the morgue. Each autopsy offers the clues to a mystery and provides the answers to lingering questions, such as "Could this death have been prevented?", "What can we learn from this death?" and most important, "What-or who-killed this person?"
This fall, Dr. G investigates a diverse slate of cases as unusual as they are puzzling. From a possible mauling death caused by a beloved dog, to a potential genetic killer, to an apparent gruesome murder-these episodes prove once again that truth can be stranger than fiction.
