NEW YORK, Oct. 18 -- Three months and 800 million dollars in box office receipts since its release in July, Warner Brothers' "Inception" proved to have penetrated the psyches of moviegoers worldwide as it garnered six awards at Spike TV's "SCREAM 2010," the first and only event honoring the best in fantasy, sci-fi, comics and horror.

With its acclaimed screenwriter and director Christopher Nolan on hand, the psychological science fiction thriller took home acting awards for its stars Leonardo DiCaprio (Best Science Fiction Actor), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Best Supporting Actor) and Tom Hardy (Breakout Performance), "Fight Scene of the Year" for its unforgettable Anti-Gravity Elevator battle, "Best Science Fiction Movie" and, the night's top honor, "The Ultimate Scream." The star-studded, one-of-a-kind event was held at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and premieres on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 19 (9:00 11:00 PM, ET/PT).

Future blockbuster "Green Lantern" won the award for "Most Anticipated Movie," with Ryan Reynolds accepting the award from costar Blake Lively in a spectacular moment.

One of the night's highlights featured comedic icon Bill Murray, who surprised the audience as he appeared onstage in full "Ghostbusters" Peter Venkman garb, complete with proton pack, to receive the award for "Best Horror Film" on behalf of "Zombieland" to a rousing ovation from those in attendance. "Zombieland" also won awards for "Best Ensemble" and "Best Cameo," the latter of which was won by Murray.

Sigourney Weaver emerged from a giant alien egg to accept the first ever "Ultimate Scream Heroine" award from her director in "Aliens" and "Avatar," James Cameron, who also dubbed her "Queen of Sci-Fi" for her work as Ripley in the "Alien" Quadrology. Cameron walked away with "Best Director" and "Best 3D Movie" honors for "Avatar."

The festivities also featured tributes to two of the most influential franchises of all time, "Back To The Future" and "Lost." Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd and the DeLorean received a thunderous standing ovation as they were reunited onstage in honor of the 25th anniversary of Marty McFly's first foray into time travel. Jimmy Kimmel paid tribute to "Lost" show creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, as well as stars Henry Ian Cusick, Jorge Garcia, Harold Perrineau, Malcolm David Kelley, Ian Somerhalder and Francois Chau as they gathered onstage for a final farewell tribute to the landmark science fiction series.

Spike TV also debuted world premiere and exclusive never-before-seen footage from highly-anticipated theatrical releases, including "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1," "Scream 4," "Paranormal Activity 2," "Super" and more.

The fifth annual "SCREAM" event featured appearances by the industry's biggest stars including David Arquette, Alan Ball, Kristin Bauer, Halle Berry, Neve Campbell, Don Cheadle, Wes Craven Rosario Dawson, Aaron Eckhart, Gregg Fienberg, Megan Fox, Chris Hemsworth, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Marilyn Manson, Stephen Moyer, Kelly Osbourne, Anna Paquin, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Emma Roberts, Mickey Rourke, Alexander Skarsgard, David Spade, Kristen Stewart, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley and Rainn Wilson.
