Humiliated, it will take all of Marcie's persuasive powers to salvage the holiday for Charlie Brown. A special bonus cartoon from Charles M. Schulz, "This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers," will air with the PEANUTS classic. In the special, history comes to animated screen life in a captivating and informative program about the Mayflower voyagers. After 65 grueling, sea-tossed days, the Pilgrims are in view of America's shores - and Charlie Brown and the Peanuts crew are with them as they experience firsthand the lifestyle of the early settlers and celebrate the first Thanksgiving.
Wednesday, Nov. 24
"The Middle" -- "Thanksgiving II" (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET) - Mike begrudgingly invites his brother, Rusty (Norm Macdonald), who is temporarily living in a tent, and his father, Big Mike (John Cullum), who has recently broken his hip, to join him for the annual Heck family Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, Brick is ecstatic when he discovers that Bob is bringing his girlfriend, Linda - the local librarian who loves books as much as Brick does - to Thanksgiving; and Sue wants to start a mother-daughter tradition of baking a pie for the holiday, but ends up getting more sliced up than the crust.
"Better with You" -- "Better with Thanksgiving" (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) - This Thanksgiving, everyone but Vicky is relieved when her oven breaks down. For once, the rest of the family can enjoy a normal Thanksgiving dinner and won't have to endure one of her unsavory concoctions -- such as maple syrup
turkey stuffed with shrimp and raisins. And while spending the holiday at Maddie's and Ben's apartment, Mia accidentally finds her late grandmother's presumably stolen ring hidden in their linen closet Now the unmarried couple has some explaining to do.
"Cougar Town" - "When the Time Comes" (9:30-10:00 p.m., ET) - Jules says "I love you" to Grayson for the first time. Meanwhile, Ellie and Laurie team up to knock the optimism out of Andy, and Bobby is upset when the gang confesses that sometimes they can't understand what he's saying.
