"THE BEE GEES: IN OUR OWN TIME"
PREMIERES WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10 AT 9PM ET
NEW YORK, NY, NOVEMBER 4, 2010 - The BIO Channel special "The Bee Gees: In Our Own Time" is the story of one of the most influential bands in rock history. Featuring new interviews with surviving band members as well as an extensive archive of home movies, family photos and recordings; this is the definitive look at the Brothers Gibb. The two-hour special premieres Wednesday, November 10 at 9PM ET/8PM CT/10PM PT on BIO.
Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb came out of Brisbane, Australia in the 1950s as three brothers harmonizing for extra pocket money and went on to become one of the most successful and long-lasting rock and roll groups of all time. Their record sales are eclipsed only by Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks and Paul McCartney; they've been inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and have enjoyed over 40 years of chart-topping success. From their first break on a local Australian radio show to their early years in the UK amidst the pop craze of the 1960s, to the phenomenal success of "You Win Again," "Saturday Night Fever" and beyond, this is the whole story from those who lived it. "The Bee Gees: In Our Own Time" will showcase live recordings of the group's classic hits including, "Jive Talkin'," "Stayin' Alive," "You Should Be Dancing," "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart," "Night Fever" and many more, in addition to exclusive interviews with Barry and Robin Gibb.
"The Bee Gees: In Our Own Time" is produced by Rhino Entertainment Company and Eagle Rock Entertainment for BIO Channel. John Beug and Robin Hurley serve as executive producers for Rhino Entertainment Company and Geoff Kempin and Terry Shand serve as executive producers for Eagle Rock Entertainment.
