Exclusive: TLC Books "The Opener" for January 3

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- TLC is adding a new member to its Monday lineup: David Adjey.
The chef, best known for Food Network Canada's "Restaurant Makeover," will topline the new series "The Opener," in which he "helps newbie restaurateurs open their dream restaurant - often with their life's savings on the line."
"Opener," which launched earlier this year on Food Network Canada, will make its U.S. premiere Monday, January 3 at 10:00/9:00c on TLC following "Cake Boss: Next Great Baker."
Said hour will replace current Monday, 10:00/9:00c occupant "Fabulous Cakes."
Frantic Films is behind the project, which has filmed 19 episodes.
