COMMON LAW (USA) - Amy Acker ("Dollhouse") has scored the female lead on the drama pilot, about a pair of LAPD homicide detectives (Michael Ealy, Warren Kole) who are sent to couples therapy. She'll play their therapist in the project, which comes from co-creators Cormac Wibberley and Marianne Wibberley. CBS Television Studios and Jon Turteltaub's Junction Entertainment are producing.
THE EX-MEN (TV Land) - Kristen Johnston ("3rd Rock from the Sun") and Donald Faison ("Scrubs") are the first to be cast in the comedy pilot, about "three divorced men who live in an apartment building together where the landlord is a smart and sexy divorce attorney." Johnston will play said attorney, Holly Brooks; with Faison as Phil Chase, one of the aforementioned trio - a charming ladies man. Mark Reisman is behind the half-hour.
RIP CITY (TV Land) - Christine Taylor ("Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story") has snagged the lead role on the comedy pilot, about "a regional beverage manufacturer and distributor. When a young, Ivy League-educated female takes over as the boss, the entire office, particularly a confident man in his 50s, is shaken and unsure of what happens next." Terri Minsky penned the half-hour and is executive producing alongside Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis.
