Said pair would join Annie Ilonzeh as Kate Prince, a decorated police detective turned dirty cop. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are behind the hour, to be produced by Sony Pictures Television.
COMMON LAW (USA) - Jack McGee ("Rescue Me") has been tapped for a role on the drama pilot, about two mismatched cops - Michael Ealy as the jeans-wearing, unshaven Travis Marks and Warren Kole as the tailored suit-wearing, clean-cut Wes Mitchell - who are sent to therapy by their boss. He'll play said man, Phil Sutton, an ex-Marine turned captain at the L.A.P.D.'s Southern Bureau. Amy Acker also stars as Dr. Elyse Ryan, their attractive therapist. CBS Television Studios and Jon Turteltaub's Junction Entertainment are co-producing. Cormac and Marianne Wibberley penned the script.

UNTITLED GREG POIRIER PROJECT) (ABC) - Greg Poirier's ("The Spy Next Door") drama, about "a worried mom/former CIA agent who takes it upon herself to travel to Europe and track down her son who had gone missing during a summer internship," has been ordered straight to series by the Alphabet. Said hour, which comes from ABC Studios, is being targeted for the summer however no exact episode commitment was given. Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo of Little Engine Entertainment will executive produce alongside Poirier. Steve Shill is on board to direct the pilot as well as several additional installments.
VEEP (HBO) - Tony Hale ("Arrested Development") has joined the cast of Armando Iannucci's comedy pilot, about Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), a former Senator who's tapped to be Vice President. He'll play her bodyman Gary, "who is always there to assist her." Also starring in the half-hour are Anna Chlumsky as Anna, Selina's Chief of Staff; Matt Walsh as Mike McClintock, Press Spokesman for the VP's office; Reid Scott as Dan Egan, Director of Communications for one of Selina's former Senator friends; and Tim Simons as Jonah, the liaison between White House and VP. Iannucci penned the pilot and is directing.
WILLIAM & KATE (Lifetime, New!) - The impending nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to be the focus of an upcoming telefilm from the cable channel. Frank Konigsberg of The Konigsberg Co. is behind the fast-tracked project, which Mark Rosman will direct from a script by Nancey Silvers. Nico Evers-Swindell has already been cast as William with Ben Cross as his father, Prince Charles. Said effort, which begins production next month, will chronicle William and Kate's nine-year courtship, which began at Scotland's University of St. Andrews.
