Network to Launch Six-Part Documentary Series ROYAL WEDDING OF A LIFETIME Immediately Following Movie's Debut

LOS ANGELES (February 23, 2011) - Lifetime Television's Original Movie William & Kate, based on the romance between Prince William (Nico Evers-Swindell, NCIS: Los Angeles, Law & Order) and Kate Middleton (Camilla Luddington, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Defenders), will make its world premiere on Monday, April 18, at 9:00 pm ET/PT.

Immediately following William & Kate at 11:00 pm ET/PT, Lifetime will debut the first of six one-hour episodes of the documentary series Royal Wedding of a Lifetime. The program will examine the history of William and Kate's romance and run-up to their wedding, comparisons of Kate to Princess Diana, the wedding gown and fashion surrounding the nuptials, cuisine for the high-profile event, a preview of the wedding day and a glimpse into their future together. After launch, Royal Wedding of a Lifetime will air from 8:00 to 11:00 PM ET/PT on Thursday, April 21, and Friday, April 22.

William & Kate tells the story of how the friendship between Prince William, second in line to the throne of the British monarchy, and future princess Kate Middleton, the stunning daughter of upper middle-class commoners, blossomed into a romantic love affair, charming the world with their recent engagement and eagerly awaited royal wedding. The film chronicles the history of William and Kate -- from the moment they met at Scotland's prestigious University of St. Andrews, through the ups and downs of their nine-year courtship complicated by social and Royal Family pressures, and intense global media attention surrounding their storybook nuptials. William & Kate also stars Ben Cross (Star Trek, Chariots of Fire) as Prince Charles, Serena Scott-Thomas (The World Is Not Enough) as Carole Middleton, Richard Reid (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone) as Ian and Victoria Tennant (L.A. Story) as Celia.

William & Kate will be produced by The Konigsberg Company, with Frank Konigsberg (Lifetime's Sex & Lies in Sin City, Lifetime Movie Network's Lies in Plain Sight) serving as executive producer. Mark Rosman (Greek, Ghost Whisperer) will direct the screenplay by Nancey Silvers (Lifetime's Sundays at Tiffany's and Girl, Positive).

Royal Wedding of a Lifetime is being produced by Renegade Pictures (UK) LTD and executive produced by Alan Hayling (The Queen in 3D, Children of Beslan), Jon Rowlands (Who Was Jesus?, Don't Tell the Bride) and Sue Davidson (The Apprentice, How to Live with Women), and JoAnn Alfano, Gena McCarthy and Jim Rapsas of Lifetime Television.
