GET STUFFED! DISCOVERY CHANNEL'S "TAXIDERMY USA" EXPLORES THE FASCINATING CRAFT OF TAXIDERMY
--One Hour Special Premieres Thursday, March 31 From 10-11PM ET/PT--
Ever wonder where the moose head mounted on the wall at your local diner came from? Behind that stuffed moose is a thriving craft, practiced by an extremely dedicated and diverse group of people across the U.S. On Thursday, March 31 at 10PM ET/PT, Discovery Channel pulls back the curtain to showcase -- for the first time on television -- the fascinating world of cleaning, preserving, stuffing and mounting animals in TAXIDERMY USA.
The hour-long special introduces viewers to the people who create art out of dead creatures, ranging from domestic pets to an African elephant. Spending their days working with blood, guts, teeth, talons, flying fur and more, these strong stomached men and women explain why they do it, who makes up their clientele and why they love every second of it.
TAXIDERMY USA is produced for Discovery Channel by Stiletto Entertainment, where Mark Grove, Garry Kief and Troy Queen are executive producers.
