CALIFORNICATION (Showtime) - Camilla Luddington (Lifetime's "William & Kate") has booked an eight-episode arc on the show's upcoming fifth season. She'll play a nanny who gets fired from her job and comes to work for Charlie (Evan Handler) and Marcy (Pamela Adlon). As previously reported, RZA and Meagan Good likewise are set to recur on the new season.
DADDY'S HOME (Nick at Nite, New!) - Scott Baio is set to star in a potential multi-camera comedy at the cable channel about David Hobbs, a former sitcom star who finds he's unprepared to be a stay home father to his three young children after his soap opera star wife, who had been taking care of the kids, returns to work. Said project would mark Nick at Nite's first live-action effort since taking over producing duties on ABC's short-lived "Hi Honey, I'm Home!" in 1992. Tina Albanese and Pat Labyorteaux penned the half-hour, which they'll executive produce alongside Baio, Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey ("Scott Baio Is 45... And Single").
HALLMARK HALL OF FAME (CBS) - The Eye has opted not to renew the long-running telefilm franchise after 16 years. The network will nevertheless still consider carrying movies on an ad-hoc basis. "This is a partnership that has served CBS very well for many years," a network spokesman told Variety. "Hallmark Hall of Fame is a first-class organization, and we wish them nothing but success in their future." "Beyond the Blackboard," the 243rd effort produced to date, aired last month. Previous homes of the "Hall of Fame" franchise include NBC, PBS and ABC.
HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) - Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters ("Reaper") have signed a two-year, seven-figure overall deal with CBS Television Studios. The pact, which kicks off next month, calls for the duo to serve as consulting producers on a proposed second season of "Hawaii Five-0" as well as develop new series projects for the studio.
POWERS (FX) - Veteran character actor Charles S. Dutton is the first to be cast in the drama pilot, a police procedural set in a world where superpowers are relatively common. He'll play Captain Cross, the head of the department. Michael Dinner is helming the hour, which was penned by Charles H. Eglee and is based on the comic book of the same name by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. Sony Pictures Television and FX Productions are co-producing.
ZACH STONE IS GONNA BE FAMOUS (A.K.A. UNTITLED BO BURNHAM PROJECT) (MTV) - The Bo Burnham-led comedy has been ordered to pilot by the cable channel. The mockumentary follows the Zach (Burnham), "a kid fresh out of high school who hires a camera crew to film him because he wants to be famous." Burnham likewise co-wrote the half-hour alongside Dan Lagana ("Good Vibes") and Luke Liacos who will also executive produce alongside 3 Arts Entertainment's Dave Becky.
