MTV2 Announces Its Biggest Summer Ever Feeding the Passion Points of Young Men with Music, Cars and Ridiculous Action

NEW YORK, NY - June 1, 2011 - Building on its highest rated year ever, MTV2 today announced a slate of new shows, along with a slew of returning series and music events that make the channel the definitive home to the bro-social movement this summer.
Burnout: The Ultimate Drag Race Challenge, hosted by Carey Hart, kicks off a summer of new show premieres, including The Dub Magazine Project, the previously announced MTV2 Presents: Lil Wayne Unplugged and the highly anticipated return of the groundbreaking music series, 120 Minutes. These new series and specials join an already stellar line-up of original male-focused series and specials on MTV2 that includes: the forthcoming premiere of The Dudesons on June 10th, Funk Flex's Full Throttle, and Sucker Free Countdown.

Before the "The Dudesons" came to the States last year in search of living out their American dream, the four Finnish friends captivated Scandinavia and Europe with their extreme pranks and stunts. Now, MTV2 will show viewers how it all started with over 25 episodes featuring "The Dudesons" outrageous homeland antics never before seen in the U.S. The mayhem begins on Friday, June 10, when Jarppi and Jukka host the MTV2 encore presentation of the all-new feature film "Jackass 3.5," at 10 p.m. ET/PT, and continues at 12 a.m. ET/PT with the first episode of "The Dudesons." Beginning June 17, the show will air in its regularly scheduled 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot.
MTV2 Presents: Lil Wayne Unplugged - Premiere Sunday, June 12 at 9pm ET/PT
MTV2 Presents: Lil Wayne Unplugged welcomes hip-hop's hottest MC to the legendary Unplugged stage. As the world awaits his highly-anticipated ninth studio album, Tha Carter IV, the show will feature stripped down versions of Lil Wayne's classics and more, and premiere on Sunday, June 12th across MTV2, MTV and MTV.com at 9 PM ET/PT.
Burnout: The Ultimate Drag Race Challenge - Premiere Sunday, June 25 at 12pm ET/PT
Burnout: The Ultimate Drag Race Challenge is an eight-part, half-hour, action-packed series that is equal parts competition, build and lifestyle show. Two teams, which consist of students from the Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, Ariz. will compete during an eight-week challenge to build a drag car to race in the series finale. The winning team will earn scholarships and cash prizes and the losing car gets crushed. The show is hosted by Carey Hart, Freestyle Motorcross Motorcycle Racer and Off-Road Racer, and Clay Millican, Top Fuel Dragster Champion.
The DUB Magazine Project - Premiere Sunday, July 10 at 1:30pm ET/PT
The DUB Magazine Project is an eight-part, half-hour, weekly magazine and variety show that will bring viewers under the hood with some of the biggest celebrities out there to understand their lifestyle, cars and events that continue to make car culture vibrant and entertaining. Intimate interviews will be featured each week with everyone from Wiz Khalifa to Shaquille O'neal, Lil Wayne, Sean Kingston, The Game, Tyreke Evans and Nick Cannon, among others.
From the entertainers who are looking to show off their new toys, to the events that showcase the latest vehicles and the pressure of meeting A-List demands of prized possessions, DUB will bring viewers into the driver's seat of car culture.
