LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Syfy will kick off September with the debut of "Paranormal Witness," network sources have confirmed to the site.
The hour-long series, which "brings to life the stories of people who have lived through paranormal experiences that defy explanation," will debut Wednesday, September 7 at 10:00/9:00c following "Ghost Hunters" (which resumes new episodes on August 24). They'll take over the night from "Ghost Hunters International" and "Legend Quest," which wrap their summer runs on August 17.
Meanwhile, the channel has also booked "Doomsday Prophecy" and "Killer Mountain" as their Saturday night originals for August.
Jewel Staite and A.J. Buckley star in "Doomsday Prophecy" (airing August 13), in which a book editor tries to prevent Armageddon, while Aaron Douglas and Emmanuelle Vaugier are featured in "Killer Mountain" (airing August 27), about a team of expert climbers hired to rescue a research team lost on the world's highest unclimbed mountain.
