THE HUB TV NETWORK LAUNCHES NEW SEASON OF "R.L. STINE'S THE HAUNTING HOUR: THE SERIES" OCTOBER 1 WITH SPECIAL "HAUNT YOUR HOUSE SWEEPSTAKES"

Second Season of New Episodes Features Hollywood's Hottest Young Stars and Opportunity for Kids to Win Major Makeover of Home Into a Halloween Haunted House

LOS ANGELES - Kids have the chance to win a major makeover of their home into the ultimate Halloween haunted house as part of the second-season premiere of the Parents Choice Award-winning live-action anthology series "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series." Premiering Saturday, October 1 (8 p.m. ET) on The Hub, a network for kids and their families, the original series is based on scary tales from best-selling author and the master of kid horror, R.L. Stine.

In the new season, "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series" will take viewers of all ages on new and creepy adventures each week, with episodes that continue to feature an A-list roster of Hollywood's top young talent. In the season two premiere episode "Creature Feature Part 1," guest-star Joel Courtney (Super 8) plays a young boy who loves old movies so much that he practically lives in them -- and that might actually happen when he and two friends discover a strange, abandoned drive-in theater.

In addition to Courtney, talent starring in upcoming episodes this season will include Frankie Jonas ("Jonas" TV series), Bailee Madison (Don't be Afraid of The Dark), Dakota Goya (Real Steel) and Bobby Coleman (The Last Song).

To celebrate the premiere of the new season, The Hub is presenting a "Haunt Your House Sweepstakes" with a Grand Prize of a major home makeover with a complete Halloween motif.

With the consent of their parents, kids can enter The Hub's "Haunt Your House Sweepstakes" October 1 through 11, via the contest entry page found at hubworld.com/hauntedhouse. Parents of all entrants will be notified to verify entries before they are accepted. The house transformation will be televised on The Hub just in time for Halloween during the Saturday, October 29 episode. In addition, 50 prize winners will receive a copy of R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour paperback book from HarperCollins Children's Books, a collection of ten of the author's most chilling stories, which inspired the hit TV show.

"R.L. Stine's The Haunting: The Series" is produced for The Hub by Haunting Hour Productions, Ltd. The series is executive produced by Dan Angel ("The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It," "Goosebumps," "Young Blades" and the Emmy Award-winning television movie "Door to Door"), Billy Brown ("Body Bags," "The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It," "Goosebumps," "Young Blades" and the Emmy Award-winning television movie "Door to Door"), Harvey Kahn ("Beyond Sherwood Forest," "Lost Treasure of The Grand Canyon") and Kim Arnott ("Helen," "The Art of War II: Betrayal").
