This Halloween, our tricks are our treat with Investigation Discovery's primetime HALLOSCREAM SCARATHON on Saturday, October 29 from 8-11 PM ET. We suggest watching it with a nightlight and one hand placed strategically over your eyes.
Kicking off the fright fest is a fan-favorite episode of NIGHTMARE NEXT DOOR at 8 PM ET. When a double homicide strikes in a nearby town, the once-peaceful community fears a serial killer may be on the loose, but their nerves aren't settled until thirteen years later when persistent police work finally pays off for the ice-cold case.
Then from 9-11 PM ET, ID's spine-tingling documentary PIG FARM transports viewers to the eerie farm-turned-human-slaughterhouse of Robert "Willy" Pickton, Canada's most notorious serial killer and the person who sparked the most expensive investigation of its kind in Canadian history.
In addition, Planet Green delivers 13 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN from October 19-31 at 8, 9, and 10 PM ET. Nightly marathons will illuminate the silver screen with tales of hauntings, UFOs, and paranormal mysteries. Monday, October 31 at 9 & 10 PM ET, respectively
In 1986, the Parker family relocates to be near the University of Connecticut medical school, because their son has recently been diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease and they need a conveniently-located rental home. They find the perfect spot in a rambling old house not far from the medical center. Curiously, the day they move in, they notice crucifixes over all the doorways. Even more telling is a room filled with head tags, toe tags, coffin keys and religious medals. The Parkers realize they have just moved into an old funeral parlor that has come complete with funeral music wafting through the house, an old fashioned telephone ringing incessantly, and doors opening and closing without explanation. Soon, unseen entities begin terrorizing the family with jarring midnight visits and haunting physical encounters. Mr. and Mrs. Parker are at their wits' end and seek out a controversial couple in nearby Bridgeport that specializes in the supernatural. Edward Warren is a demonologist; His wife, Lorraine, is a clairvoyant. Since the 1960s, the Warrens have been involved in some of America's most notorious stories of hauntings, possessions, and exorcisms. Using a combination of Christianity and parapsychology, the couple performs a church-sanctioned exorcism to rid the house of its unwanted inhabitants. But does it work?
