DESIGNER CASEY NOBLE BRINGS AFFORDABLE, ACCESSIBLE STYLE TO BUDGET-CONSCIOUS HOMEOWNERS IN HGTV'S "DESIGN ON A DIME"
New York, N.Y. [For Immediate Release - October 20, 2011] Designer Casey Noble brings a fun and fresh design approach to the retooled Design on a Dime beginning Saturday, October 29, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The series, a long-time viewer favorite, will focus on innovative design solutions for budgets of $2,500 or less. Casey and her team will deliver sophisticated designs that are a true reflection of the homeowners' personalities and passions. Each week Casey will demonstrate smart design ideas that are affordable and accessible - proving that beautifully designed rooms don't have to be complicated or expensive.
"We always saw Casey as a promising new design talent when she appeared on season five of HGTV Design Star," said Kathleen Finch, general manager, HGTV. "When we wanted to re-energize Design on a Dime, we thought of Casey because we loved her creativity and natural on-camera appeal. She is the perfect fit for the series and viewers will love her."
In the premiere episode, Casey and her design team will take on the lackluster backyard of homeowners Shernice and Thomas Lazare who have a $2,000 budget. The couple loves to throw outdoor parties at their 1920s-style home, but the lack of shade, seating and style prevent them from enjoying the space. Inspired by the couple's request for a contemporary and colorful design, Casey adds a lively tile mosaic to an existing outdoor fountain and a vibrant pint-sized play area for their young daughter. To help the Lazares beat the heat, Casey includes a pergola that offers shade for the stylishly refurbished patio furniture.
Future episodes will feature a variety of inspirational and inexpensive projects, such as side table made of wooden dowels, a one-of-a kind coral dresser and creative closet doors inspired by a beach bungalow suite.
