MRS. MILLER (ABC, New!) - Kell Cahoon ("Psych") has sold a new drama to the Alphabet about "a retired CIA operative whose quiet, comfortable suburban life is turned upside down after she's pulled back into the world of espionage." Silvio Horta of Silent H Productions and Will Gluck of Olive Bridge Entertainment are also on board to executive produce the hour, which is set up at Sony Pictures Television. Olive Bridge's Richie Schwartz will also receive a co-executive producer credit. (Deadline.com)


SCENT OF THE MISSING (TNT) - Eric Winter ("The Mentalist") has landed the male lead on the drama pilot, based on Susannah Charleson's book of the same name about a search-and-rescue officer (Tricia Helfer) who braves the harshest conditions with her best friend and partner, a Labrador retriever. He'll play Jake, a member of the search and rescue team with his dog Shadow. Gerald McRaney also stars in the CBS Television Studios-based hour, from executive producers Carol Mendelsohn, Melissa R. Byer and Treena Hancock. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED MIKE SUSSMAN PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Mike Sussman (TNT's "Perception") has booked a potential drama at the Alphabet about "Diplomatic Security special agents who travel the world protecting American officials on diplomatic missions and will explore the personal and professional challenges these young women and men face while taking on one of the most dangerous jobs in the country." Ellen Pompeo's newly launched Calamity Jane banner is behind the hour, which is loosely based on Laura Blumenfeld's June article in ELLE Magazine about the female agents on the Secretary of State's security detail.
