MTV Goes "Buck Wild" With New Docu-Series Following a Group of Friends in Small Town Appalachia
The series, set in rural West Virginia, has a 12-episode commitment.

MTV GOES "BUCK WILD" WITH NEW DOCU-SERIES FOLLOWING A GROUP OF FRIENDS IN SMALL TOWN APPALACHIA

Santa Monica, CA (November 18, 2011) - MTV has picked up "Buck Wild," a weekly docu-series following the colorful antics of a group of friends just out of high school in rural West Virginia. Whether they're working local jobs, studying in college or just getting by, they share a deep pride in contemporary small-town American life and a passion for living it to the fullest while making up their own rules as they go. The network has ordered 12 episodes of the series.

"We know that showing unique slices of youth culture on MTV is something that resonates with our audience," said David Janollari, Head of MTV Programming. "With 'Buck Wild,' we'll give our viewers a singular and fun glimpse at this generation's experience as we go into Appalachia to capture the lives of a loveable group of dynamic young people."

"Buck Wild" is executive produced by John Stevens and Barry Poznick from Zoo Productions, and J.P. Williams from Parallel Entertainment. Lauren Dolgen, Colin Nash, Jeffrey Hevert and Michelle Klepper are the executives in charge of production for MTV, and Jessica Zalkind is the talent executive.
